The family planned a trip to Genting. It’s been ages since we went somewhere further than our dinner together

It’s kinda impromptu, and we actually managed to wake up early to ber-convoy up Genting

Initially it was only the 6 of us whom embarked the journey – driving up in 2 cars, but the very ‘itchy butt’ extended family members (whom we asked and asked to join us earlier but rejected), decided to go in the end. Thus ended up having to drive themselves in another car there! itchy butt larr! Albeit the drizzling evening, it was a nice and eye-opening trip! plus, it was my first time stepping into the casino! OMG! *malu*

The trip started with a beautiful sunny day, and dimsum-filled stomachs – the usual weekend family breakfast.

i did try to sneak my camera in to take some shots of the family uncles and aunties but i was stopped. i think it’s because my bag is too blardy stuffed, it’s like calling the security to check it out! -_____-” thus there are no pictures to prove that i’m also like one of those aunties who hold a cigarette on one hand and the other kept pressing the button hoping to hit the jackpot! just that both my hands are on the button!! haha too kancheong.

After a few good hours inside, our stomachs started to remind us of lunch. Besides, it’s time to take a break from losing more money to those money-swallowing machines. It was also when the 2 itchy butts called and said they were on their way up too! haha… All of us met up outside the casino’s entrance and head for lunch. It was good. The group’s company mainly

lepas makan, naturally all of us herded for a fast toilet break . That, also we took the opportunity to camwhore! nyek nyek! (spot the not’s’ in the below pics – 2 of them)

We wasted no time and head back to the slot machines a.s.a.p! This time around I lost all my credits in the card! and my ah neh have to pull me out to stop further damages! wakakaka! After losing my limits, i just hang around the others who are still pushing that button and cheering them on!

Most of us lost! Not even ah ma who dreamt the night before that he won some 32k jackpot won anything close! shoots! hehe.. but all of us had fun. It’s like we’re all at another phase of our uncles and auntie’s life. Gambling to pass time hahahah. Before we call it a day, we shopped around a bit and chatted over cups of coffees at Starbucks. standard.

Itulah dia, our mini family trip to Genting, with only a few of the family members… Nevertheless, it was a memorable trip alright. can’t wait for our KK trip next year, what more with more family members joining! WOOT!

Happy BELATED Mooncake Fest!

I know i know.. aunty’s been really procrastinating. forgive me for the lack of updates! hehe.

Aight, before these mid-autumn festival pics went mouldy and goes down to history-land, i will now post lar since today ‘free-er’ and also in hope to launch the ’semangat’ to continue posting all the much sought-after pictures of all the recent family activities! before some ‘mother-like’ aunty & uncle kept nagging n naggin n nag nag nag

This year’s mid-autumn fest’s very toned down compared to the one we had 2 years ago, (yeap.. been that long ago already) where we invited lots of friends and bbq-ed the night away. somemore semangat hanged them lanterns all the way from the balcony to the garden! heh. those were the days hehe. Plus, it drizzled this year. However, the rain did not stop us from celebrating and also got a number of the lanterns burnt!

Since it drizzled, we improvised by hanging all the lanterns just outside the front entrance! how we did it? Jas, you won’t or maybe don’t wanna believe that we actually put those red branches you brought home from your office some time ago into gooood use look below for an explanation

After successfully hung the lanterns, there’s nothing much to do besides feeding the mosquitoes, re-lighting the candles for the lanterns, lighting more tealight candles as decorations, chit-chatting and of course taking pics of nonsense action (which you’ll see why later) oh, and not forgetting makan-makan all sorts of flavors of mooncakes till muak! That’s more or less bout the whole ‘party’ that we had goin on that night. Not very much of a party, but it’s still as fun and memorable. In case anyone there that night don’t agree with me, this post serves to force you to remember heh.

Miri (Part Two)

Right, finally the part two! hope you all are not bored already yet. Don’t worry.. part two won’t have much blabs…will just dump in the pics, as the pics explains why i lurve my trip to Miri this time around so much more! No fancy pansy pictures though. So sit back and go Miri with me!

This second part of my Miri travelogue is to catch the sunset by the sea, right beside an expensive seafood restaurant – Marina Bay. We did not dine there, just hang around to marvel the beautiful scenery and wait for the sun to set . It was around 4ish 5 when we reached and the sun did not set till about 7 -______-” . Actually, this is not the ONLY interesting point, cause’ I mainly wanna go up-close to the lighthouse, camouflaged as a seahorse! that i caught a glimpse of from our room in the Marriott. We were told it was inaccessible the first time I was in Miri, but then we did not just gave up hehe.. and woot! I found the path to the ‘forbidden’ lighthouse.. teehehehe..

Nice right the seahorse sculpture cum lighthouse? (Btw, seahorse is the official mascot of Miri .. I see seahorse sculptures everywhere!) I think it’s cool! It seems like it’s guarding the sea with that pair of glassy eyes, only it has been an abandoned lighthouse. If only we can go up to have a look Around this lighthouse (beside the sea) there were mini wooden booth-like patio for anyone to sit and hang around – just like us . Everyone is posing for a picture there.. and of course yours truly too. The sun does take some time to set you know! heheh.

I was this close to saying “nevermind lar.. can see other time. let’s go!” I am glad I did not! and I’m glad ky did not succumb to his ‘callings’

Miri (Part One)

I’m gonna put up a new category in this blog, where i’ll post all about my mini ‘cuti-cuti Malaysia’ trip. (no money to travel oversea see.. so over-the-sea only). Thanks (and no thanks) to ah-ky and the nature of his job, i get to travel alot around Malaysia, and within these 1-2 years, to the east of the country mostly. Over-the-sea indeed.

~flying Miri~

The latest trip was my complimentary birthday flight to Miri. Though this is my second time there in the span of 6 months, it was fun nevertheless. In fact this time was more fun ’cause first, finally we get to fly together and secondly it’s my virgin flight with MAS! (GASP! yes, i’m SO ‘mountain turtle’) and last but not least it was my birthday ‘week’

We took the last flight (i think) thus reaching Miri quite late. I don’t mind a bit.. cuz i love flying. what more not alone this time around and I got someone to compete Sudoku with throughout the journey, AND it’s for a getaway! Upon reaching, we get to see the whole of Miri at night, bird-eye. i love

Get our luggage and off we head for Miri Marriott (try pronouncing this.. it’s fun to say Miri Marriott.. haha.. go on, try it!) hehe. Oh, before going straight to Marriott where we’ll be staying, we went to get his rented car, parked at another hotel, then to the hyper mart nearby to shop for some snacks, juice and cup noodles (standard procedures). When we finally reached Marriott, it was already about midnight. The room we got this time wasn’t those facing the sea but the garden/tennis court. Not too bad and overall, I LOVE staying here. Highly recommended! What I really uber-ly loved is the number of pillows they provide. Whopping 8 pillows!! All feather pillows! Shiok!

Every morning will be sleeping in till around 10ish then head for breakkie alone cuz the mister goes to work and i ate my brunch till late. heh. then it’ll be just lounging around the lobby, walking around by the sea, snapping away senseless pics and.. urm.. just lazing around. Nothing beats having nothing to do but just enjoying your day and finding things to fill in so it kinda explains the below pics all around the hotel. enjoy lar ya.

After a few hours out and about shooting nice nothings, it will be ‘gaming’ time. heh. Playing what some called the ‘brainless games’ over and over the whole of afternoon until he comes back from work is actually very time ‘fulfilling’ lor hehe. And when he ‘balik’ from work, we will hang around the balcony to marvel at the beeuuuutiful sunset, then dinner, then more TV, then another day. There’ll be more sunset pics to come. Hope you all are not bored yet

Okaaayy.. here’s what.. we have the SAME tactic EVERY single birthday – that is to buy a cake ‘discreetly’ then hide the cake ‘discreetly’, then waited for the strike of midnight ’secretly’, to ’surprise’ the birthday auntie/uncle. only to know EVERY TIME that it has already been expected -____-”

funny thing is, the respective birthday auntie or uncle will also:

and acted along to not disappoint those trying hard to prepare everything…   buuuttt…. there’s this blur auntie..

who was really clueless about the whole thing, finally got surprised. teehee. kinda impromptu. maybe that’s why it succeeded all these, and including asking max to stay back a lil’ longer while waiting for the others to come back from movie and dinner,

and of course not forgetting the most important task, the cake, that uncle cy sneaked out to buy

Babe, Happy birthday to you again! Hope you had had a great one babe, albeit a little low-key It’s a rather heart-warming-close-to-heart-family celebration muacks..
